Meet the Artist

Berta is a contemporary jeweler and former art historian whose work lies at the intersection of minimalist design, conceptual exploration, and meticulous craftsmanship. She handcrafts every piece herself, maintaining a close dialogue between concept, form, and process.

Her approach is grounded in deep material exploration, often beginning with repeated studies of a single geometric element. She works directly with metal, without molds or wax casting, taking a structural and architectural approach that evolves step by step at the workbench. Each design is crafted using traditional techniques, including sawing, annealing, soldering, bending, folding, and embossing. Her creative vocabulary draws from minimal gestures and structural forms crafted entirely from 100 percent recycled metals, including sterling silver, fine silver, and gold.

Berta is deeply moved by the symbolic power of jewelry and the relationships it creates. “Jewelry is a constant dialogue between the maker, the user, and the observer,” she says. Her studio functions as a creative laboratory—part atelier, part showroom—and invites you to be part of that creative exchange.

Explore Barcelona

Barcelona is a city where centuries-old tradition and cutting-edge creativity collide in vibrant, often unexpected ways. From the surreal curves of Gaudí’s Sagrada Família to the graffiti-lined alleys of El Raval, the Catalan capital pulses with artistic energy. Its museums—like the MACBA and the Picasso Museum—celebrate both local legacy and global experimentation, while its culinary scene, rooted in Mediterranean warmth, mirrors its cultural flair: bold, inventive, and deeply communal. Barcelona isn’t just a destination—it’s a living canvas.

Additional Details

The best time to visit Barcelona is in spring (April–June) or early fall (September–October), when the weather is pleasantly mild, the city comes alive with festivals, and the crowds are more manageable. Summers offer a vibrant cultural scene, though in August, when temperatures peak, many locals take vacations and some businesses close, giving the city a quieter, more relaxed vibe. To enjoy the city at its liveliest yet comfortable, it’s ideal to plan around the Christmas season and Holy Week (late March–early April).
