Who are the best artists and makers you know?

At VAWAA, we love hunting for the best artists around the world. We’ve appreciated all your referrals and getting to know the talented makers you care about.

So we're piloting a better way for you to refer the best-of-the-best artists and get rewarded for it. 

Our goal with this program is a pretty simple one. We believe there are thousands of artists, makers, and craftspeople in the world who have a wealth of knowledge to share. However, the world only knows about a few because they are spread across the globe, and aren't always easy to discover online. 

We want to tap into the networks of our global community and invite you to help us find hidden masters who can teach us their craft. We want to celebrate diversity, and genuine connection to culture, through a real global community and real-world experience.

How does it work?

If you know an artist who has the craft and talent to share, nominate them. 

For each artist that gets accepted to join the VAWAA artist family, you will receive a $100 VAWAA credit, and a mention in the launch announcement.

We will review submissions every month so you can keep nominating. 

Some helpful tips. Consider artists who are –

• Practicing outstanding craftsmanship
• Carrying a heritage, cultural, indigenous craft into the future
• Based anywhere in the world

FAQ’s

What kind of artists get selected?

Only the best! We’re looking for artists that represent the highest level of craftsmanship, culture, warmth and can be great teachers and hosts. They must have their own studio, ideally in a beautiful location. 

How many artists can I nominate?

You can nominate as many talented artists as you can spot. The sky’s the limit! You’ll be helping create a more creative, inspired, and connected world.

Can I refer myself as an artist?

No. If you'd like to become a VAWAA artist, you can apply by clicking here. It will improve your chance of selection as you can submit more details about yourself. Moreover, we do not offer VAWAA credit for self-nominations. We encourage you to nominate other talented artists in your network. 

Will I earn $100 in VAWAA credit for each artist that is selected to join VAWAA?

Yes! We’re so excited by your enthusiasm. Each artist selected to join equals $100 in VAWAA credit for you. 

When will I know if my nominated artist has been selected?

We will review submissions monthly. Please be patient as the vetting process can be time-consuming. We will notify you if your nominated artist has been accepted.

When can I redeem my reward?

You will earn $100 credit the day the artist gets launched and then you can immediately use it for any VAWAA booking.

Can I combine my credit towards a single VAWAA experience?

Yes. You are welcome to combine your credits up to a maximum of USD 500 towards a single booking. You can use any remaining credits towards your next VAWAA. Credits are not transferrable to someone else.
