The concept behind VAWAA spoke strongly to me.  I prefer the type of travel where I can feel like a local, be immersed in the culture, and familiarize myself with that place’s long-standing specialties/crafts. The potential to work with my hands, learn from the best, and come away inspired was a thrilling combination.

Honestly, I knew it would be hard for me not to love this trip.  But the result was magic. 

I knew I would be inspired creatively, but Prague and Ondrej opened my eyes in unexpected ways.  I knew I would make cultural connections, but life in Prague drips with a layered culture across more disciplines than I ever imagined.  I knew I would learn loads about a craft in a short amount of time, but didn’t think I would feel a sense of deep serenity too.  I knew I would make human connections, but the vitality and sense of humor in the people I met, even briefly, was a true treat. I knew it would give me some much-needed perspective, but it reignited fires across every aspect of my life. 

My experience was invaluable. It’s going to be hard to top.
