A VAWAA class allows me to see the country up close, and to interact with the people living there, while doing something creative. I had a great time this year, as I did in a previous calligraphy class. Because the class took place outside of Kyoto, I also discovered Ohara, a very pleasant village in the mountains. I plan to continue traveling that way in the foreseeable future, with VAWAA if possible.
