Macrina is a thoughtful adventurer, a community advocate, and a world-class ceramicist. I spent a magical week experiencing life at her workshop and I’ll remember this time forever. She taught me each part of the process – from gathering and then creating clay, shaping and refining pots, polishing them, and open-firing them. More importantly – she’s a wonderful person with a kind and curious heart. She is proud to share her culture with others and also loves to learn about other people. Her family and the other members of her workshop are all amazing people who welcomed me into their home. Her sister-in-law Amalia is also one of the best chefs ever. Thank you to Macrina and her community for such an amazing experience!
