This was my first VAWAA, although I'd been hoping to go for years. I love the idea of immersing oneself in a cultural experience that is artistic as well. Julio and Paola's stone carving workshop was the most intriguing to me, and when my good friend and I carved out time to go someplace new and relax by being artistic, I lobbied hard for this one ;-)

I had one of the very best times of my life working all day, learning the capabilities of different tools from Julio and eating the most incredible, locally sourced food beautifully prepared by Paola.

Such happy days! And wonderful memories! I'm so grateful to Julio and Paola for offering this experience on VAWAA. I will definitely return with my family soon!
