I wanted to get a glimpse of what pottery was like in Pondicherry, and also to experience being taught by a master potter. I was hoping to improve my skills and also take home tips on how to create using clay.

I ended up learning a lot more than I thought I would - including the effect one's state of mind, cultural history and background has on the work that one creates. 

This experience helps me to keep an open mind - both towards myself as well as to the world around me. I also learned not to be too attached to the end result of artful expression - and to enjoy the process.
