It was a great way to add a deeper experience to my trip to Tokyo (as I have already been a number of times) and this got me to stay in a new area. Because it was just 3-4 hours a day it meant we still had plenty of time to do other things. I developed a genuine appreciation of the work and mastery required to be a great Ink Painter like Shukou. We also loved the Shimikazawa area and appreciated Shukou telling us more about it and his suggestions for variations things in the neighborhood….
