I decided to invest in a VAWAA experience because I wanted to fully immerse myself in a trip that  was dedicated to creating art while learning new, fun and interesting techniques. I felt VAWAA offered something unique with the opportunity to stay with an artist and have one on one time learn from them intimately in their own personal studio. I was hoping to achieve a fresh perspective on how to approach my ceramic projects and play with form and I most certainly did. I’m already thinking of my next potential VAWAA experience!

I now hold a lot more building techniques on how to create organic forms in my ceramic sculptures as well as how to repair pieces and even how to make my own simple wood fire kiln which I’ll definitely be doing in the near future! I’m excited to explore more with coil based sculptures.
