My experience in Gee’s Bend was just incredible. There were so many wonderful things about it that it is hard to summarize. First and foremost, working in the studio was awesome. I learned so much about quilting and about the history of Gee’s Bend. Not only that, but the studio itself is in a big cabin with a stunning view of the Alabama River! 

I loved being out in the country with the trees, birds, and fresh air. Every morning before class, I sat on the back porch and journaled and was kept company by the donkeys and goats in the adjoining field! Magical! All in all, it was an experience of a lifetime.
