I have had an interest in sculpting for a few years but I haven’t found a medium that’s been quite right. I was afforded this opportunity through a workshop program through my job where we can explore a creative interest for a week of the year. I wanted to learn a a type of sculpture that didn’t require lots of tools or kiln firing and this was it!

I was able to mostly finish my project while I was there, I just have to do the finishing touches. I’m already to start my next project back at home. Iria gave me hand printed instructions for her process so I can take this practice home with me. Aside from the work, traveling to Galicia was so special I know I will be back.
