I was a little nervous travelling alone for the first time in many years, but as I boarded the plane in Sydney my excitement began to take over. Arriving at Almudena’s studio on my first full day in Bilbao I found myself in a dream space created by an amazing artist, who I can now definitely call my friend. All nerves gone we began to talk, laugh and create. I learnt so many new skills from Almudena and we managed to create 3 beautiful pieces In only a matter of days. The week flew by and I realise I have so much more to learn about the art of millinery and hope to return for more treasured time in Almudena’s studio.
