I love the idea of doing something while traveling, not just sightseeing, though we did that too. I was excited about having a dedicated period of time with such an accomplished artist as Andrea, but the experience went quite beyond my expectations.

We worked daily on a variety of projects in fabric with different fiber content — rayon/cotton, polyester/silk and so on — as an introduction the properties and possibilities of each. Some required more than a day to complete. I hope to be able to do some of the simpler techniques we learned, especially transfer prints.
