It all started when...

The quarter where Clare's studio is, her own exploration--both seemed to touch a quietness inside of me.

It was a marvelous experience. Clare took me around town while I was here, including to the glorious ceramic museum in the next town. Her generosity both as a person and in her allowance to new students like me is valuable. In my painting, I tried to imitate the artist Jamini Roy’s eyes and also got Krishna and Radha to hold hands and did away with her blouse to replace it with a delicate necklace .... after all it’s a pic out of my head! And Clare has this most wonderful skill to elicit what I’m feeling and add her invaluable expertise seamlessly. At each step and stage she checked in with what feelings and expressions I wanted to convey through my painting. I would love to be back for more.
