We started pottery a year ago as a shared hobby we could connect over to share creative inspiration and concepts. It became a wonderful shared experience, so when we decided to have our wedding in Japan, we decided to turn the honeymoon experience into a pottery retreat. We got to try pottery at various studios in Asahiyaki, Bizen, Kyoto, and finally with Junpei through VAWAA! We didn't have particular goals in mind, but simply wanted to enjoy ourselves and learn how to become better handbuilders.

We learned a great amount through asking Junpei questions on his process. He was always eager to share his knowledge and we've recently made new hand built pieces we would love to share on our instagram soon (pieces still need to dry and be fired).
