Macrina is an exceptional artist and she and her family are very warm hosts. We worked through the entire process, from digging the clay chunks out of the mountain side, processing the clay, making pieces, burnishing and an open sky wood firing. It was incredible. One of us was a potter with 2 years of experience and the other very beginner, but we both really enjoyed it. The experience and the pieces we were able to bring home are something we will treasure. The accommodations were comfortable and the food was excellent. I wish I could go back right now.
