The main reasons I chose to participate in VAWAA were:

1. I was seeking a creative activity during my travels away from Australia rather than merely sightseeing;

2. It provided a period of connection whilst travelling so I didn’t feel isolated or alone for too long;

3. Sabrina’s profile and creations looked exciting! 

4. The home stay option enabling me to live as a local was a new experience for me I was willing to try.

The result of this experience is I gained the necessary skills to enable me to create my own sculptural metal, pieces when I return home. Sabrina’s guidance, support and encouragement has given me the confidence to continue exploring and creating.
