I will cherish and put to use all the knowledge I gained from Jacobo and Maria—about food, culture, family, living a simple but purposeful life, as well as this ancient art of weaving fibers together to create something beautiful. I don’t think I have ever felt prouder and more gratified by my final piece and the knowledge that I gained. It will hang in my home as a constant reminder of the days that Jim and I spent in this lovely village with such wonderful people.
