I was looking for an activity in Japan that aligned with my creative interests. Toyama is a metal crafting centre dating back 100s of years. It was a perfect match for me. Not only did Yoshinori teach me the basics of traditional orin making, but when I expressed an interest in some other local crafts such as casting, he took me to meet some other local artisans. The whole experience was so valuable and will definitely help me with my future projects.
