I was most intrigued to learn traditional Georgian ceramic techniques (particularly glazing). I was expecting to make a few examples to bring home and I am utterly overwhelmed with the amount of pieces we created in four short days. I would truly recommend participants bring extra luggage to allow them to transport their works home afterwards!
Our results were a range of ceramic artworks, each displaying a variety of technical skills and glazing techniques predominantly Georgian in origin. I will take this experience back to my own art classroom and lead my students in lessons based on this exploration.
